ADD/ADHD Tutor in New York, NY Meet our new Tutor Kayla M. She lives in New York, NY and specializes in Elementary Math, Reading, Science, Reading (Dyslexia), Study Skills, ADD-ADHD, Biology, Math, Algebra, Pre-Calculus. Kayla has enjoyed tutoring from a very young age. She tutored gifted children in both math and biology when she  attended Hunter College High School. Kayla  continued to pursue this passion as both a tutor and later the co-president of “Student Teaching At Ray School” or “STARS,” a tutoring organization affiliated with the University of Chicago. As a tutor Kayla  assisted ESL 4th and 5th grade students in writing skills, reading comprehension, and phonics, as well as with math and science homework. In addition she  worked as a private tutor with homeschooled students, providing structure and lesson plans for their 7th grade math education. Kayla has also taught emergency medical response classes to college students. After graduating from the University of Chicago, she  worked full time as a City Year Americorps member, where she  taught math to 4th grade students living in the South Bronx during the day, and lead afterschool programming on science experiments and arts and crafts. Kayla  loves, and has experience, tutoring elementary to college age students in mathematics, biology, critical reading, and test prep skills.
